From June 9 through June 11, the Arts District opened its doors and inviting families and friends to experience Dallas' world-class collections. In addition to FREE museum access, visitors took in some of Texas' best entertainment, browsed the more than 80 artist booths, enjoyed musical performances, checked out chef demonstrations (including one by Crosby executive chef and owner, Jeanette Prasifka) and enjoyed the sights and sounds of bustling downtown Dallas.
The CityArts Celebration is in its third year and the festival continues to grow. This year's event featured more performers, more artists, more chefs and heart-healthy cuisine and more activities. The hours were expanded from the two previous years and a 5K run took place on Saturday morning. Outdoor stages, strolling musicians, fine arts displays, cooking demonstrations, Dallas cuisine, museum and cultural organization exhibits, multi-cultural performances and children's activities were all showcased simultaneously.
