AIDS Services of Dallas
Hillcrest House Supper Club

Crosby is proud to participate in the Hillcrest House Supper Club sponsored by the Volunteer Department of Aids Services of Dallas.

Hillcrest House, located in a restored four-story brick building originally constructed in 1922, was developed in response to the housing, medical and supportive service needs of homeless individuals with symptomatic HIV/AIDS.

The Supper Club provides hot, nutritious meals to residents nearly every night of the month. In addition to sharing home cooked-meals, social interaction is also an important benefit. ASD believes Supper Club is particularly important for this population that at times is often prohibited access to the surrounding community due to the seriousness of their illness.

Crosby Catering supports this worthy cause by donating a complete dinner once a month.

Chef Jeanette, along with the help of volunteers, serves a healthy vegetarian dinner on the fourth Sunday of every month. If you would like to volunteer to help serve the residents of Hillcrest House, or would like to make a monetary donation to help support this ministry, please contact Crosby (214-770-5573).

2007 Menus

January
Spinach Lasagna, Caesar Salad, Garlic Bread, Italian Green Beans, and Strawberry Shortcake

February
Cheese enchiladas, Mexican Corn, Borracho Beans, Tossed Salad with Fresh Vegetables, and Ice Cream and Brownies

March
This month, Jeanette solicited dinner requests from the Hillcrest House residents, who asked for "Chinese food and bread pudding." In response, we created a dinner of Teriyaki Stir Fry, Fried Rice, Asian Coleslaw, Fortune Cookies, and Homemade Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce.

June
Jeanette's back this month, planning a delicious dinner of grilled vegetable sandwiches, slaw, potato
chips and a dessert "to be named later."

Coming Up
Some of the residents told us they were "completely burned out on chicken," to which Jeanette replied, "You don't have to worry about that with my cooking!" Requests for future dinners included Greek Cuisine and "Breakfast for Dinner."

Here are some of the volunteers who helped serve the January 28 meal
