The 2007 Dallas celebration of the Great American Meatout is sponsored by the Black Vegetarian Society of Texas and VegetarianDallas. Crosby executive chef and owner Jeanette Prasifka has been invited to conduct a cooking demonstration at the event to be held March 24th at the Center for Community Cooperation.
The Great American Meatout is the world's largest and oldest annual grassroots diet education campaign. Meatout encourages people to pledge to "kick the meat habit (at least for a day) and explore a wholesome, nonviolent diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains."
At noon, Jeanette will share the secrets of her delicious vegan recipe for Tofu and Raw Veggie Lettuce Wraps with Spicy Peanut Dipping Sauce.
